Revature is one of the largest employers of entry-level technology talent in the United States – we’re hiring and training the next generation of software developers and creating job opportunities for a more diverse pool of candidates.
Our mission is to close the opportunity gap in the technology industry by creating pathways for job candidates that have the aptitude but may not have the network or access they need to secure an entry-level position. We partner closely with top universities and enterprises and serve as a bridge between higher education and the tech needs of modern companies.

Revature hires motivated college graduates with an aptitude and passion for technology and trains them to become software developers through an immersive 10-14 week program. We pay our employees to learn in-demand technologies.
Once training is complete, our newly-minted software engineers are assigned to software projects for our clients, who are some of the world’s leading companies across many industries. In addition to paid training, Revature employees work on a two-year employment contract, which provides stability and continuous learning opportunities.
Ok, But How Does It Really Work?
Here’s a step-by-step process that describes how Revature works:
1. Apply Online: Our online application is simple and fast. We hire college grads from both tech and non-tech backgrounds. No prior coding experience is required!
2.Have an Interview: If your application is accepted, you’ll be interviewed via phone or Skype. That’s when we’ll talk to you in-depth about what our training entails and your career goals and expectations.
3.Get Training & Experience: Once you’re hired, we’ll host you at one of our offices across the country, where you’ll go through an intensive and customized 10-14 week training program. You’ll learn new and relevant tech skills, software implementation methodologies and work on projects in a collaborative, real-world environment. We pay for you to get certified in any and all of the technologies that are required for your successful transition to the client project.
4.Kickstart Your Career: After successfully completing training, you’ll be assigned to a software implementation project for one of our industry-leading clients. We’ll help you relocate to the Technology Development Center of the client, so that you can get started right away. Our client portfolio of more than 50 companies includes 4 out of the 5 top banks in the U.S., the largest U.S. based retailer, 7 out of the top 10 global IT consulting firms and 3 of the top 5 management consulting firms.
It’s important to note that working for Revature may require you to relocate twice – first to one of our training facilities (where we’ll provide you with employer-assisted housing) and ultimately, to a client project. If you’re up for the adventure – our program could be a great fit for you.
What Will My Salary Be?
Starting salaries for entry-level jobs at Revature are competitive based on industry standards.
Tell Me More About the 2-Year Agreement
After you complete training, you’ll be interviewed and then assigned to a software implementation project for one of our clients. At Revature, we are committed to protecting the investment and intent of our two biggest stakeholders – our employees (you) and our clients (leading global companies). Our two-year employment agreement represents that investment and commitment between Revature, our employees and our clients. It ensures that you have the time you need to get on-the-job training, experience and career stability. It also equally assures that our clients can complete critical technology projects, which is why they have invested and trusted in us.
Moreover, more than 80% of our employees perform so well that within 12 to 14 months of being assigned to a client project, they’re hired by the client and become their full-time employee – which is our ultimate goal.
Can I Pick Which Tech I’m Trained For?
Not at this time. Our training model is specifically designed to meet industry technology demand – and we want to make sure that you’re ready for client projects right away. Our direct relationships with leading businesses allow us to identify and train on the most employable skills in the shortest possible time.
No. The biggest difference between Revature and a coding bootcamp is that we pay employees and provide benefits during training. We provide employer-assisted housing at our training locations in Tampa, FL; Morgantown, WV; Reston, VA and Dallas, TX. We also provide relocation assistance.
Another big difference between Revature and a bootcamp? Employment after training. Once you’ve successfully completed a 10-14 week training program, you’ll be assigned to a software implementation project for one of our clients, who are some of the most innovative companies in the world, across industry domains.
Think of us as a launch pad for your tech career – we provide opportunity while minimizing opportunity cost.
You must have an associate degree or higher to work for Revature.
Here’s why – the companies that we work with have education requirements, and in order to ensure that all Revature employees are successfully assigned to software implementation projects for our clients, we must adhere to our partner’s employment conditions. However, we do not require that employees have a background in IT or programming, or prior experience working in technology. In fact, our program can be a great fit for those looking to make a career change.
It’s also important to understand that to work for Revature, you need to be open to relocation throughout the contiguous United States – that’s because enterprise-level software development requires you to colocate to the Technology Development Center of our clients.
We know that relocation isn’t for everyone so if you’d like to learn more about how it works, you can speak with a member of our Recruitment team at (703) 775-2031.
